Sustained Development
Paper, a recyclable biodegradable product used
in the making of multi-wall paper sacks is produced in Colombia
with 100% virgin pine fiber, taking advantage of the renewable plantation
resource that exist in Colombia for that purpose.
This
work is based in the Sustained Development Principles, which looks
for economic growth, guaranteeing, in a responsible manner to future
generations resources equivalents to those of today, generating
in the process, rural employment and well-being for the family,
preserving the existing fauna and flora.
Another important aspect of our business is our
commitment with the environment, which is confirmed with the use
of inks produced from organic pigments that don't have heavy metals,
which makes them non-pollutants of the environment.
Also, the washing water used in the printing units
presses goes to a treatment plant where once the solids are chemically
removed and taken to sanitary land fills, the ware is used in gardening.
In all of our activities cero contamination with
water residues is a compromise we have to protect the environment.
We are aware that Sustained Development is
a long-range vision and we at Colombates take it as a corporative
challenge.
